Elopements are becoming more and more popular, and it’s easy to see why. For couples who want to focus on each other without the distractions of a big wedding, an elopement is the perfect way to exchange vows in an intimate, meaningful setting. While the Oregon Coast is a stunning location for many couples, there’s something truly special about a cabin elopement that can offer a different experience, rich in both beauty and solitude!
Here’s why a cabin elopement outside the Oregon Coast might just be the perfect way to celebrate your love and connect deeply with your partner.
Imagine this. You wake up with your boo, get a fire going in your cozy cabin, grind some coffee beans, make pancakes and have a slow morning on your wedding day. Often times wedding mornings are rushed and stressed because there are so many to do’s and a timeline to keep. Having a slow morning for your cabin elopement on the coast ensures you the time you need to really soak it all in. You can completely unwind and celebrate in a place that feels like home, offering the perfect balance of connection and relaxation.
I had the greatest pleasure getting to document these very moments for Hannah and Kevin. If you are a coffee fanatic, I highly suggest finding yourself a cabin that is fully equipped with all of the coffee materials including a pour over!

When it comes to planning an elopement, there’s often a focus on the romantic and intimate moments of the ceremony itself. But one of the most beautiful parts of an elopement is the time leading up to the “I dos.” Traditionally, couples get ready separately but what if you chose to break away from this tradition and prepared for your elopement together? There’s something incredibly special about sharing this time with your partner. This time of togetherness can fully be embraced.
Another beautiful thing about renting a cozy A frame cabin for your elopement is the amount of open space you have for these moments to get ready. There’s no clutter and it feels way more calm. Hannah and Kevin took advantage of the space fully while they were getting ready. Also, the natural light in this space was amazing for photos!
This ceremony was SO beautiful and meaningful. The couple stood together on the porch (a cute carpet under their feet!), the mist hanging in the air, with the forest around them quiet and still. There were no loud speakers or officiant-led traditions—just the couple exchanging personal vows in a space that felt intimate and private.
This wasn’t a performance for anyone else. It wasn’t about adhering to customs or expectations. The couple’s vows were heartfelt, raw, and deeply personal. There was a sense of calm in the air, and no rush to get through the ceremony. They were present, fully focused on each other and the moment they were sharing. The mood of the day—the mist, the quiet—mirrored the emotion they felt in that moment.
One of the most important aspects of an elopement is the ability to focus on one another without distractions. A cabin, especially one tucked away in nature, offers a peaceful, secluded environment that allows you to truly immerse yourselves in the moment. Just you, your partner, and the quiet beauty of nature, with all the time in the world to savor every moment.
This particular location was perfect not only for the cozy cabin vibes, but was also surrounded by a beautiful Pacific Northwest landscape- forests, trails, lakes, moss- all of the PNW essentials. There was literally a trail 20 steps away from the front door. These two didn’t have to travel far to access the outdoor beauty and that was essential for them.
If having quick access to stunning ceremony/elopement locations is important to you, I highly recommend finding a cabin like this one!

Tucked in the back of Hannah and Kevins cabin was a tiny oasis and seating area that ended up being perfect for their charcuterie board and champagne toast! One thing I love doing for my couples is making sure they are well fed and treated! So a charcuterie board is usually the crowd favorite.
I really felt like this space had so much to offer and we were able to enjoy every nook! Each area in and around the cabin played it’s own special part for their wedding day. Kevin and Hannah made the most of it and fully soaked it all in with each other.
This A-frame cabin elopement near the Oregon Coast was a perfect example of how stepping away from tradition can create a more authentic experience. There were no expectations of grandeur, no formalities to follow—just a couple, a setting, and their vows. The forest provided a beautiful backdrop, but it was the quiet, intimate moments that defined the day.
The moody atmosphere, with its mist and subdued light, set the perfect tone for a ceremony that was all about the couple. There was no need for elaborate decorations or a large guest list. The day was simple, but in its simplicity, it was deeply meaningful.
If you’re considering an elopement and want to avoid the pressures of tradition, this is proof that it’s possible to create a ceremony that is uniquely yours—one that’s authentic, personal, and memorable. Whether you’re drawn to the Oregon Coast or another secluded spot, an intimate ceremony like this allows you to focus on what really matters: each other.
