As an elopement photographer based out of Washington State, I am no stranger to these PNW wedding venues. However, I don’t think that I have ever been more obsessed than I am with The Press Room.

PICTURE PERFECT LOCATIONS EVERYWHERE YOU TURN AT THE PRESS ROOM VENUE

The best part about this venue is there are so many rad places to take photos inside and outside the venue. If the weather is looking grim on your Wedding day, you have nothing to fear.

For this featured intimate wedding, the PNW rain would come and go. This gave us enough time to snap a few photos outside, but run back in when the rain would come. Not all venues have that flexibility and as a photographer, I was SO INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL.

Speaking more on this elopement, Alex and Liz’s colors on this corner were STUNNING and fit the moody rainy vibe of the day.

Alex’s groomsmen were down to roll with the hilarious ideas for their photos. The bridesmaids decided to hang indoors and stay hidden until it was time for Alex + Liz’s first. They popped champagne and had their “bridesmaids” movie moment.

DREAMY FIRST LOOK DURING THIS URBAN INTIMATE WEDDING

We decided that since it was raining, it might be best to do Alex and Liz’s first look inside. Which, I didn’t mind since The Press Room Venue has some of the best indoor’s spots.

We found a super quiet and intimate space which happened to be a sitting area with distressed stone walls and vintage furniture. It truly looks like it belongs in a movie.

THE PRESS ROOM VENUE INTIMATE WEDDING DAY DETAILS

What I love about the Press Room is how it is so versatile. I feel as if any style and colors that you go with for your intimate wedding day will look amazing here.

For Liz and Alex’s special day, they had a spring theme. It paired perfectly with the dark wood and urban touches. Their florist did an amazing job putting together their florals and layout. She even made earrings for Liz out of her wedding flowers that were absolutely stunning. I’m not going to lie, I want to reach out and have her make some for me!

CEREMONY AND COUPLE’S PORTRAITS

Liz and Alex had a beautiful indoor intimate wedding ceremony. Sometimes it’s hard to find an indoor space with natural light, but the natural light fills this venue’s ceremony from corner to corner. 

After the ceremony, the rain stopped just in time for a few couple’s photos outside. The architecture on The Press Room venue’s corners is simply stunning. The turquoise walls, the black and white checkered window frames, and the rustic brick were my absolute favorite.

Even though it started raining, they didn’t seem to mind. There were plenty of places for us to duck under. Did we take a few final indoor couples photos with the urban chandeliers? YOU BET WE DID.

RECEPTION AT THE PRESS ROOM VENUE

Alex and Liz finished the evening with a beautiful candlelit dinner, cutting their mark on the bar and followed by loads of dancing upstairs.

Having the venue completely to itself really set the tone for the day, especially at the end of the night.

Their guests could head down to the bar on the first floor and grab a drink and chat with others while dancing was happening upstairs. The whole space is an open concept so you never feel left out of all that is going on.

Liz and Alex’s intimate wedding day at the Press Room venue was absolutely perfect. Even though it was raining, it really didn’t matter. No one was even paying attention to that because this space was enough in itself- the best Tacoma venue!
